I know it's past midnight here but I couldn't post this earlier, either way, this Sunday was the birthday of CLAMP's member Satsuki Igarashi! She became 40 years old.

A week ago I made a post supposedly revealing which member of CLAMP was sick. By then we thought it was Tsubaki Nekoi but a reader has approached me to inform that there was a mistake in the translation.

I asked the original translator to take a look at the translation and indeed there was a mistake.

Around the same time, Nanase Ohkawa made a post in her Private Board clearly revealing that she was the one who got sick.

Just to clarify the "CLAMP's sickness" subject once and for all, we apologize for any inconvenience =)

Also, while I was away during these last few days, the official website of the Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC OADs was updated with screencaps of both, make sure to check them out!


Honestly I thought the caps of XXXHOLiC look much, much better than Tsubasa's, a real disappointment to me because I expected all 4 episodes to have equal animation quality.

A few updates about the OADs production now. The latest entry of the production diary informs that the storyboard of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki Part 2 is being done, they received Ohkawa's final script in the end of the previous year.

On the other than, Takuya Matsushita of Kodansha wrote in his latest column at CLAMP-PLA.NET that the after-recording sessions of Tsubasa Shunraiki Part 1 has ended safely in the past week.

The first OAD, XXXHOLiC Shunmuki Part 1, comes out next week on February 17.

By the way, tomorrow my all-time favorite singer OMFG Alanis Morissette will play in São Paulo after a hiatus of almost 10 years since her last presentation here in my city. And I will be there of course watching her concert for the first time! WISH ME A GOOD TIME! ^__^

To those who were wondering, Tsubaki Nekoi was the one who got sick recently, which was sort of expected seeing how only XXXHOLiC's schedule was affected by it.

By the way, Young Magazine #10 is out today in Japan and XXXHOLiC is not carried in it. It'll be back on issue #12, out February 16.

On another note, NHK BShi channel will rebroadcast the anime of Card Captor Sakura starting on April 2. Guess they want to warm it up for Kobato. and the Blu-ray release of CCS ^^

Takuya Matsushita, who works at the rights departments at Kodansha and is directly responsible for the Tsubasa & XXXHOLiC OADs project, has updated his column and he reveals that the after-recording (dubbing) sessions of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki #1 has been completed. The first public screening will happen on January 25 at Tokyo Disney's Cinema Ikspiari.

Also, several online stores are stating that the release date of CLAMP IN AMERICA guidebook has been pushed to October 20.

Quite bad, we'll have to wait a bit more to read it, but that's okay if that means time for improvements.

There's a project going on at clamp_now to produce a fanbook in honor to CLAMP's 20th Anniversary made by we, the fans.


The idea is to gather from all around the world fans' letters, fanarts, fanfics, cosplay pictures and other forms of love expression to CLAMP and their works.

Once done, the book will be delivered to CLAMP's hands.

It is a great initiative and excellent opportunity to say something and express your admiration to CLAMP!

Anyone can participate, I already joined the cause and in case you haven't, please do it! It is our chance to show how big and loved CLAMP is around the world.

romanchan let me know about a couple of things I would like to share.

The first is a review of MUTUALITY: CLAMP works in CODE GEASS artbook. I haven't seen anywhere where you can download the full artbook (if you have, please let me know!_ but in this review there are a few pages in huge resolution (just download the 320 MB zip file).

The other thing is a trailer of Card Captor Sakura Blu-ray box that was shown in Comiket last year, the quality is not the best since it was cam-recorded.

The Clow arc will be released in March and Sakura arc in June.

This post has no news appeal, it is the latest entry Ohkawa wrote in her Private Board that I found very amusing and funny.

It's not foreshadowing or revealing (who knows?) but I thought it was interesting to post xD

This month's issue of graphic design magazine DTPWORLD has a feature about manga design, and CLAMP's XXXHOLiC is listed in it. undini has kindly scanned it for us (thank you so much!). It's very small, unfortunately, but I was very curious to check it ^^

The other thing I would like to share today is Nanase Ohkawa's latest post in her Private Board, which doesn't have any sort of foreshadowing information (who knows?), but I thought it was worth posting xD

First of all, thank you very much for the positive feedback on my new layout, it really means a lot to me ^__^

Today I'm bringing the final two episodes of CLAMP's Internet Radio show, Komugikotoride no Yonshimin.

I'm not going to write any summaries for these ones, since they both are basically "summary" episodes.

In #48 they summarize all 17 guests that appeared on the show during its two-years run, making remarks about each one of them.

In #49 they look back at the last two years pointing out some highlights such as CLAMP's visit to the USA and Korea, the Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations screening and New Year's events, Mokona's birthday party etc.

Near the very end of the last episode I think they were talking about their future ambitions. Satsuki said she wants to draw the end of Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC and also be able to dance (she's been taking classes recently). Mokona, also, said she wants to draw the end of Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC "very quickly", she said something about her room but I didn't understand (maybe she needs some free space? XD). Ohkawa too said the same about Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC but she also said, if I'm not mistaken, that she would like to write the script for a TV Drama? That would be the coolest thing ever. Could you confirm that to me, if possible, clstmk-san? Or anyone else that's willing to give me some light xD

The final episode is the longest of all with nearly one hour.

The NEWS BOARD section of CLAMP-NET.COM has been updated today with the news that the next XXXHOLiC chapter, scheduled at first for July 28, will now be released on August 4.

Last but not least, this is in reaction to a certain post that I read in a certain LJ by a certain someone, I don't remember who it was nor where I saw it, but the girl was complaining that CLAMP keeps dressing Watanuki in girls' outfits while he doesn't like it. When I saw this drawing it immediately reminded me of that girl and her complain. So this is for you, and everybody else who might enjoy it xD

Since I haven't had much time to turn the TV on,
I've been listening to those while reading books and magazines.

Even though I liked them from a very long time, recently I'm even more fond of them.

Along with food,
my music taste also changes every year.

あと、ジャズ。

テレビをつける時間が格段に減ったので、
雑誌や本を読みつつ、聴いてます。

Lisa Ono is a bossa nova singer who was born in São Paulo, Brazil. She moved to Tokyo at the age of 10 and began her career singing in her father's pub. Her first professional album was released on 1989 and is called Catupiry (that title amused me till no end xD) and since then she became a very popular MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) singer in Japan.

Her repertory includes both original and covers of the most famous bossa nova songs. Watch her performing Ela é Carioca on YouTube.

The other guy, Jake Shimabukuro, is an ukelele monster! He was born in Hawaii and that is reflected in his songs. He doesn't seem to sing (at least I couldn't find any videos of him singing), he "only" plays instruments (but he does it really, really well). Watch him playing Crazy G on YouTube.

Ohkawa listening to bossa nova? I didn't know she liked it, and she said she liked it from a very long time. I feel suddenly very patriotic xD

And this lady, Lisa Ono, I didn't know her, actually I might know her (I think Yoshiyuki-kun might have told me something about her) and she's really good! I love bossa nova, it's so relaxing!

Ohkawa's music taste really amazes me for its diversity, but she has my thumbs up for this one *thumbs up*

On a last completely RANDOM note, I noticed one thing in Kobato. #2 today. The chapters that were published in Sunday GX had no furigana in the kanjis, but in the tankoubon they all have, which means CLAMP had to re-apply all the speeches again (some fonts look different for that reason). Ouch xD
