jlarinda. I just read it and though "this is it!" =DI think the adult version of Syaoran is convincing enough to me, hell does he look handsome? I can't say the same for Sakura. I don't know, I wasn't convinced enough. But it's okay, not something that will bug me for the rest of my life. LOL
This chapter is so adorable. Baby Syaoran('s tiny HAND) is adorable... is he feeding on Sakura? Aww. I also love the exchange of kindness between Syaoran and Sakura, it really reminded me of the other CLAMP married couples.
Time passes some more and Sakura looks worried when Jr. comes talk to her. My guess here is that she had just seen the "dream" that Papa!Syaoran told Jr. when the former sent the latter to Yuuko. Or maybe she had already seen it since Jr. tells her to rest if she's still not feeling well. Still? What is been happening to her?
It seems like Papa!Syaoran travels for business a lot, considering Jr. said he got back from his work "yesterday". I wonder what Papa!Syaoran works with...
Also worth mentioning that Sakura is wearing the same clothes as of when she met CCS!Sakura in the dream. I think only CCS!Sakura's comforting words will make mama!Sakura feel better. Not sure if the meeting already happened or will happen after this scene. I think it didn't happen yet otherwise mama!Sakura would have CCS!Sakura's staff and would be feeling better?
Another 16 pages chapter. So far we have 64 pages, which gives around 115 pages left for volume 28, but CLAMP could always pull a RG Veda and make the final volume bigger than the previous ones xD
Next chapter only on July 8.
By the way guys, the official website of Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC OAD updated with comments from the staff and cast of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki Part 2 during the after-recording sessions. The OAD will be released next week, on June 23, along with XXXHOLiC #15.

It could be. But in the battle-field she said that CCS!Sakura's "Zettai Daijoubu Dayo" *trademark* really comforted her. So I think she wouldn't have such worried expression after meeting CCS!Sakura. But we never know xD

And the theory is confirmed, in my opinion, Adult Syaoran is good-looking but looking serious all the time. It must be hard for the Parent to accept the fact of what's waiting for their son (because they knew.
It is really an exchange of between adult and child Syaoran, I mean, we always see clone syaoran being more high-spirited than real syaoran (who is looking SO serious all the time) This time, it is adult Syaoran who is looking serious. at least, that's what I think...
Ahh..and will this be the last plot twist? Or we would know how seishirou knows real.Syaoran's father? Is it adult Syaoran or clone Syaoran?(If it's really clone Syaoran, Sei-chan is quite powerful to know about what happens next..or before?)
I am hoping for a vol.29 but I don't know if it can indeed before the end of the year considering the speed of their release recently.

Exactly. The list of Kodansha mangas to be released in August is out and Tsubasa is not there. Which means it'll be released September onwards. Do we really have time for a 29 volume? We'll see.

That's only my POV though. Maybe my expectations were too high? ^^;
Ever since the CCS days, I've always wondered how Clamp would draw him as an adult...so yeah, after around 10 years of expectations, the truth is I think nothing might have been good enough in my eyes somehow aha~ XD XD
But still...I don't think "Syaoran" was the type of character Clamp should have given a Touya/Fujitaka like face/built; his style is totally different.
But well, it's needless to critic now, what is done is done
The chapter was really heartwarming in many senses; but as always, right after happily grinning while looking at the happy couple (and the baby!!!!!!!) in this chapter, my smile faded away when all the questions and contradictions coming from this came rushing in my mind, swirling and crashing against each others...
That aside, reborn|Sakura seems to be of pretty fragile constitution and sickly...that is one big difference with CCS|Sakura who is very sporty and healthy ^^
This might be the reason why CCS|Sakura helped her by giving away the wand? Reborn|Sakura was too weak by herself?
It also felt so strange hearing the son says "Well, Father got back from work yesterday!" Just what kind of job do you have Daddy|Syaoran??!! *I want to know!*
And again...Clamp got away without showing Daddy|Syaoran's chinese parents in both CCS and TRC!! *ggrrooaarrrr!!!*
And, the most worrisome thing of all: father and son share the same existence?....also Watanuki and "Syaoran" are the same too...
So we got THREE people sharing the same existence! @____@
The name of the person who will get an "unhappy ending" is still hanging in the air, but if we consider that Logic is getting repaired and the twisting going back to normal + that "Syaoran" is the officially legitimate existence then...not only Watanuki but also Reborn|Syaoran are in danger of disappearing?

Yes, a friend of mine noticed that too and pointed it to me. I think it has to do with the "dream" and being worried for what's coming ahead. She seems very powerful and confident in the battlefield.

You're right.... I guess XDDD But I think it's a different kind of existence. Wouldn't Watanuki die if Jr. dies? They are the "same", while in Jr. and his parent's case, one was cloned after the other. I think it's slightly different (as much crazy as it may sound XD).

My friend told me in CCS Syaoran's dad was dead, so this means that clone's father is alive. I wonder if his mother is the same as shown in CCS movie 1 (not the SAME but same name and appearance, LOL)

We'll have Yuuko (because she's the one that can rearainge everyone and send them places) sitting at a table (my she sounds like god) with all these images. The line of pictures is time. Each frame is a new situation...we'll start where the little Shaoran (which was later cloned) was sent to her. "I have a wish due to my mother's dream." she inserts his image among the line of picutres next to a princess performing a purification. So from there on he is part of that princess' line of images (the moments in time) when she gets cursed and he sent back to Yuuko he askes her to send him back. Times goes by in that world and in his with Yuuko and she replaces his image back with the princess. Fei Wong makes his offer and Fei Wong and Yuuko now travel all the way back down the line of images to where Shaoran first showed up placing a clone in his place and keeping the real Shaoran in another location. To replace the missing Shaoran in Yuuko's line of events (because someone has to fill in the empty frame of the picture) Watanuki is now the boy that comes to Yuuko's shop asking for a wish. It also means that there are several images overlapping at several points. What was once the image of Sharoan in Yuuko's bed after fighting Yuuko's magic pulling him back to his correct time, is Watanuki laying in Yuuko's bed bandaged the same way after falling out of a window.
It also shows that when Yuuko took the Clones and gave them new life she went back really far to where she was still rearranging images and placed them in, because that way little Shaoran would be able to find the Witch's shop.
I look at it this way because this way I can say there is one Yuuko and she may be working the story and die, but it also means that the time line is in her perspective. One solid existence, a line that gets additions to it that will change the following images.

Sakura as an adult doesn't work because of the haircut, IMO, it's too... young for her. She looks like a child stuck in a grown woman's body.

Mama!Sakura = Clone Sakura of the real Sakura...
and...
Papa!Syaoran = Clone of his own son, R!Syaoran...
does this mean that C!Sakura is actually in some way married to her own son? o.O
Well, not much I can say to that except CLAMP is either a fan of ancient civilizations or has a whole new way of "keeping it in the family" or "true bloodlines" if you catch my drift...(they obviously have no qualms about the idea of incest, as the idea of it has been featured before...)
The only other idea I could think of is something similar along the lines of the Sailor Moon anime. CLAMP could have it set up that the clones' souls would be reincarnated into the bodies of an existing alternate of CCS SxS pair about to be born (think alternate in the terms of how we saw it in Tsubasa for various characters/pairs like Arashi and Sorata). This of course would happen in the world where R!Syaoran originates (which at this point seems to be an alternate Tomoeda/Hong Kong/Tokyo). And like in Sailor Moon, this SxS pairing has retained the memories of their previous life, like the Moon Kingdom story.
Another similar thought comes to me from the anime series Yu Yu Hakusho with Shuichi Minamino and Yoko Kurama. Yoko Kurama's soul was merged with Shuichi Minamino's while still a fetus and although Shuichi Minamino did have a more human look than Yoko Kurama (unlike the reborn identities in Sailor Moon, which are exact replicas members of the Silver Mellinium time or now in this case, SxS), he still had Yoko Kurama's memories, experiences and powers.
That's the only other way I can really think of trying to get around this loop...sorry if it doesn't make complete sense, but what theories do anymore?

When the clones were reborn into the world, I assume they were born to parents. I don't think they just spontaneously incarnated or were discovered under cabbage leaves. My guess is that they were born to random couples that happened to be in the right place at the right time. It would be weird though, having retained their memories, growing up they would be like child prodigies because they would already know so much. - I Loved their adult forms...they both look GORGEOUS!
- Baby Shaoran Jr. is... *____* pure love...
- Shaoran and Sakura being all sweet and affectionate (FINALLY!!) just takes my breath away ;___; It's Sooooo Beautiful!!!

Well, I pretty much agree with the rest of you, I also always wondered how they would like adults, and I think Syaoran looked older (facial-wise) than Sakura - maybe it's the hairstyle afterall XD Now we got this straightened out at least,(that they are the parents) though it's rather confusing still. One of my cousins asked me once what's going on in Tsubasa (he only knows the basic story) and I didn't even try to tell him to be honest, it's way too much to try to explain.. O.o and even if I had tried, I'm pretty certain that he wouldn't understand a thing XD
Anyway - There's only one thing I miss regarding this chapter, a kiss between the two! It's honestly clamps weak spot, they avoid kisses all the time, and if two people do kiss - they hide it in some way. I mean hugs are great and loving, but these two are a canon couple to say the least and now they're married and have a son as well, a small kiss wouldn't hurt XD Maybe it Mokona who doesn't like drawing them, what do I know.

As to the question of having two of the same person, maybe it doesn't count because they're not so much clones are reincarnated clones..
