This week was a very busy week at university and I'm really glad it's over xD So the lack of updates is due to myself being busy and also due to the lack of news. This week, however, we had a bombastic Tsubasa chapter that is definitely in the Tsubasa Hall of Fame of Most Shocking and Revealing Chapters xDD
I'll be commenting about it now, been wanting to do this all week long!

As you can see by the title, today we have loads of news xD
Let's start with today's birthday, a very important one, because today is the birthday of CLAMP's leader, Nanase Ohkawa! She's turning 41 today (although I feel like I shouldn't give out a woman's age XP). Congratulations Ohkawa-sensei!
It is no secret that she is my favorite CLAMP member (XD), I can only wish to this brilliant woman, to whom I hold huge admiration, a lot of happiness, achievements, success in her career, and that she keeps twisting our minds with her very rich stories for many years to come (bless her mind!).
I'm looking forward to your next deeds. I always will.

She hasn't posted anything about her birthday in her Private Board yet, but in case she does later, I'll repost it here for sure.

A bit more than a month after the XXXHOLiC◆Kei event took place at LOFT/PLUS ONE, formally known as XXXHOLiC◆Kei Previous Evening Festival, the website CLAMP-PLA.NET brings their report of the event (most likely the last one for this event).

These are the latest entries from Nanase Ohkawa's Private Board of CLAMP-PLA.NET, both posted today. In the first one, she reveals that she's been working on an anime plot, and the second post she says that she's moving to a new house.

| Mangettes: so secretive even editorial dept. doesn't know specifics |

This year's edition of the New York Comic Con fair is taking place since yesterday. At Dark Horse's panel they announced that they'll release an omnibus edition of CLOVER.
This edition will feature all 4 volumes in a single 512 pages long book. The release is planned for 2009.
CLOVER was originally licensed and published by TokyoPop but became out of print since 2006. The license has been now transferred to Dark Horse.
Very little was said about Mangettes, CLAMP's upcoming 2009 project with Dark Horse. My friend Kethylia is there and she reports that the project is so secretive that not even the editorial department knows the details about it (or so they say xD).
CBR News is covering the event too and reports that,
"Mangettes" will be the first manga project to be released in English, Japanese, and Korean simultaneously. They will be 80 page issues, and come out with greater frequency than most manga.
So I think 80 pages is a lock (sounds yummy), and they will come out with greater frequency than most manga? Do they mean Dark Horse's manga or japanese manga in general? Does that mean less breaks? It's such a monstrous project, with such a pace, it would take only 2 months to compile a volume, and for a monthly manga, that's just wow! Did I mention how excited I am for this project?
About CLOVER, I'm am very glad for you North Americans, of course, but unless this omnibus edition could be somehow related to a possible return of the manga, is not a big thing for me. I think "CLOVER" and "Mangettes" are two separate projects, and that Dark Horse might want to introduce CLAMP to their readers with CLOVER before launching Mangettes. If the Mangettes were the continuation of CLOVER, it would be over in 4 months given that there's only 2 volumes left for CLOVER. Besides that, the press release for Mangettes stated it would be a brand new story.
It's still a great opportunity to support CLOVER, show that there are people interested in it, and perhaps contribute for its return. It is intriguing, though, why CLOVER? Out of all CLAMP works?
EDIT: According to Kethylia, about Dark Horse representatives not knowing details about Mangettes, "their marketing director sounded exasperated, not coy, when I asked about it, which means that this is the truth".

• Code Geass R2:
Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 premiered yesterday in Japan and you can get the RAW of episode 1 via TokyoTosho from many different sources. You know the steps, just type Code Geass in their search field to get the results.
As reported previously, CLAMP drew the illustrations for the Ending sequence:

The illustrations are just beyond gorgeous! It's basically Code Geass through CLAMP's eyes xD The drawings were done by Mokona but Nekoi painted them using CG. I was surprised with the total amount of illustrations, I thought they would be fewer. Beautiful work, CLAMP.
• XXXHOLiC◆Kei:
Amazon.co.jp has a list for all the upcoming XXXHOLiC◆Kei DVDs. There will be 7 volumes, and each one of them will have a limited edition coming with a Drama CD and a booklet. The first Drama CD will be written by Nanase Ohkawa.
According to Amazon, the release schedule and product details goes as the following:
Volume 1
Release date: June 25.
Running time: 25 minutes.
First edition limitation: Post card, booklet and Drama CD scripted by Nanase Ohkawa.
Volume 2
Release date: July 23.
Running time: 50 minutes.

Basing on the DVDs running time that Amazon.co.jp is reporting, XXXHOLiC◆Kei will have only 13 episodes.
I've been seeing this (quite a lot) in articles and interviews about the the new season, but I thought the series could be expanded to 26 episodes when we get halfway through it. But after this, I'm getting more and more convinced.
So for now, 13 episodes only.
Last but not least, ASCII.jp has their report on the XXXHOLiC◆Kei event at LOFT/PLUS ONE (they have a bigger version of the CLAMP and Mizushima picture), and Hobby-Channel has an article about the XXXHOLiC◆Kei stage event at TAF2008. Phew!
The ASCII article states that, up to the event's day, Episode 1 was done, Episode 2 was in the middle of after-recording, Episode 9 was being drawn and Episode 12 storyboarded.

Today we have CLAMP in CARDLAND, CLAMP in 3-D LAND and XXXHOLiC◆Kei news.
• CLAMP in CARDLAND:
The silhouettes of the CLAMP in CARLAND 3 special cards are out in its official website:
The one from the left features Yuuko and Syaoran and the one from the right, Fye.
The 3rd Series of CLAMP in CARDLAND comes out next month.
• CLAMP in 3-D LAND:
A correction now, in my previous CLAMP NEWS !! post I stated that the Sakura figure that would come out in the 7th Series of CLAMP in 3-D LAND would be from Card Captor Sakura (I edited the post now, though). Today the official website of CLAMP in 3-D LAND announced that the "Sakura" is actually from Tsubasa.
I should have know, since CLAMP-NET.COM listed it as "Sakura", and not "Sakura Kinomoto".
I'm assuming this Sakura will be the one with the famous fairy dress of Chapter 1, readers who are up-to-date with the japanese chapters will understand why.
With this, Sakura Kinomoto will definitely make an appearance in the final Series, and my final guess for it would be:
Fuuma, Hikaru, Suoh, Sakura, Shirahime (Kazuhiko is out and Sakura is in).
Just like we had 3 Syaoran figures, there shall be 3 Sakura figures as well.
• XXXHOLiC◆Kei:
Akiba has their report of the XXXHOLiC◆Kei special stage event that was held at the TAF2008.
