Today is the birthday of CLAMP's member Satsuki Igarashi! She turned 41 years old.

The other CLAMP members gave her birthday wishes as usual. Ohkawa thanked her for having born (I thought that was precious) and Satsuki and Mokona said they should all drink to celebrate once they're finished working today =)

The official website of the XXXHOLiC Rou OAD updated with the information that Suga Shikao's Kaza Nagi (from his 2004 album, TIME) will be used as the OAD Ending Theme.

The website also notes that the DVD will have "voice message files" with the main cast.

A brand-new illustration drawn by CLAMP of the "Happy Ko" character was broadcast today in NHK's kids show, Tensai TV-kun MAX:


The illustration above, that has the Winter as theme, was taken from the show's official website. There's also a message from CLAMP, they said because of the amount of fur in the costume, she won't feel any cold (LOL!).

"Happy Ko" is a character played by one of the show's young hostesses, Fujii Chiho, she presents the Girl's Communication corner of the show.

This is the 3rd time that CLAMP draws "Happy Ko". Check ou the previous two illustrations here and here.

The 4th issue of PLUS MADHOUSE magazine, a magazine focused in animation creators, is on sale and the current issue is centered on director Rintaro, reponsible for directing MADHOUSE's anime movies "Metropolis" and "X", among others.


CLAMP has collaborated for this issue with an illustration of Rintaro and a message for the director. Other artists who drew for Rintaro are character designers Nobuteru Yuki and Takuo Noda.

The magazine features information about Rintaro's works, such as the movie version of X, and includes the director's original storyboard for the movie.

The magazine is on sale since December 16.

Looks interesting! =) But I wonder if we'll ever see this XD

This is something that I forgot to post, but here is an illustration that Tsubaki Nekoi posted in her private board on the first day of 2010 to celebrate the new year:


Every year they draw something with the animal that represents the current year. This year is the tiger year, so that's why ;)

The picture was followed by CLAMP's messages welcoming the new year, funny bit that Satsuki mentioned that it's 2010 but there aren't flying cars as written in the old novels xD Mokona mentioned that the tiger reminds the one from that CCS anime episode where Naoko writes in "The Create" book, because of the eyes xD

First of all, big thanks to everyone for the comments on my retrospective post, I was traveling so I was a little late to reply to the comments but I read them all and answered them all and I loved them all, hahaha!

Here is some probably trivial news but interesting still ;)

Nanase Ohkawa posted in her private board that CLAMP will move to a new studio this year. Read the full entry below, it was posted on January 2:

Moving

Today is CLAMP's first day of work.
Though the weather has been clear, it gets cold at night.

This year we plan to move the studio.
This time, we want our studio to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer. (laughs)

晴れていたとはいえ、やはり夜になると寒い。

今年はスタジオ移動の予定。
新しいスタジオは、今度こそ「冬暖かく、夏涼しい」仕様になりますように（笑）。

CLAMP moved their studio several times in the past, they have never stayed in the same place for too long. The last time they moved was in the beginning of 2005. During that moving, one of the members injured their hand, which caused some breaks in the serialization of their works. Let's hope they move safely this time =)

It is that time of the year to look back at what happened in this so-called "CLAMP World" =)

I'm very thankful for 2009, among many great things that happened to me, it was the year that I met CLAMP (for the first time, let's be positive! haha). For me that was undoubtedly the highlight of 2009.

I have selected a few of what I judge to be the most important happenings of this year so we can take a good look to what happened while we wait for the 2010 releases.
